IEM’s Truck Component Inspection System (TCIS) is a machine-vision camera/illumination system that monitors selected truck/bogie components for wear and other stress related defects.

TCIS incorporates Truck Suspension Condition Monitoring (TSCM) to detect broken or missing springs and check that springs are correctly seated. In addition, Friction Wedge Rise Inspection (FWRI) monitors the wear of friction wedges based on the wear notch, as well as check the go/nogo height of the wedges between the bolster
